Chess Box

The game of strategy and planning. Chess Box is a collaboration between 3 artists. Glass is all hand blown by Richie McBeath. Leather interior and playing surface engraved inlay by myself, Tamara Morgan. Custom fine wood box by Brian McArthur. 24"x24"x5" box, the pieces nest inside in a bed of sheepskin, tucked securely and covered with a mid weight leather buckled cover like a safe blanket. Inlayed leather with hand carved and painted pinstriping coordinated with the hand blown glass pieces, rest in the lid as the playing surface. 

This piece is a one of a kind set. It now resides in a private collection.
