Greyeyes Headstone

A plaque for a significant community contributor in Nelson B.C. Darwin Greyeyes.

Sometimes pieces mean so much more than work, more than the honour of creating the work, and more than what we feel on this plane. This piece was a commission by his family, for a friend whom I knew as a creative peer. 

This moment was a deeply spiritual experience for me in its journey, in ways I could never truly articulate. It was deeper than an honour to build this for his forever marker. I hope all of his relations, now and forever get to sit with him in this spectacular location and find peace.
