Octopus

Octopus are always a fascination to humans. Their liquid like bodies that can slide and glide anywhere, how they change colour, slip into small spaces and look into your eyes. This was an exploration into texture, a chance to visit one of my favorite creatures and create one nearly life sized.  The frame that holds it is 20"x24", but it isn't a heavy piece. Entirely hand sculpted and painted using mixed materials, this is a one of a kind piece.
